Hi Sonny,

Are we required to submit the final pages as two pages in one TIFF file (exactly like the Template) or can we separate the pages in its own TIFF file (with its appropriate left page/right page margins) so that the file transfer will be easier from the smaller file sizes?

IMPORTANT TEMPLATE UPDATE

Hi Everyone,

One important update that I needed to make to the template. I've attached the update here. The dimensions are the same EXCEPT that in the previous version, I neglected to include the *bleed* that extends past the inside margin.

Now, this PDF includes the bleed for the inside margin. Also, in answer to some confusion from a previous post, this template is two separate pages (not one wide spread).

My sincerest apologies for any extra work this might cause you, but it's important to add this inside bleed to all of your pages.

Best regards,

Danny Yee

Regarding the safety zone

Hi guys, could you take a look at these left hand side page samples and tell me which would be more applicable? I understand the binding method of liquid city so just wondering if i should shift the artwork panels inside the safety zone (greyed area) (sample 2) so that the artwork closer to the binding will not be obscured? Or do you think sample 1 is ok so long as there is no text outside the safety zone?

btw the outer black is the bleed

Safety Zone clarification

The safety zone, with the 0.5-inch inside margin is really more about the text (and perhaps key details in the artwork). That said, I think you should still adjust the Sample 1 boxes to allow for at least 0.375-inch on the inside margin.

Using LQC, vol 1, as a reference, most of the book has an inside margin of 0.375-inches in the spine. One example of the 0.5-inch inside margin in LQC, vol 1. can be seen in the "Alpha Gorilla" story.
