heya i do like these though length wise 2 pagers will be tricky to fit in. as with dreww's mini comics, send me hires files for this one and will try and work with designer to see how it might fit in :)expanding it into a series about an illustrator would be better, but don't suppose there's time for that this stage :p

one thing that might be fixed is the blurred out text - considered other option like rendering in illegible font or markings (say like woodstock's speech in peanuts)? the blurring effect seems to create depth in the word balloons, as though the text were far away and seems a bit jarring in the story flow...

or maybe just simple lines struck across the cancelled words might suffice?

i do kinda like the blurred out effect because it represents the situation pretty well. you hear the person talking, but all the unimportant stuff is in the background like a blur. squibbles or cancelled out text might make it represent something else.

Thanks for the comments and suggestions, guys. I've done some minor adjustments, fixed some typos and changed the blurred text. I'm using some Lorem Ipsum text now, which I think kind of fits the context of an ad agency. Is this better?

Nice! I was about to say that the lorem text is so appropriate to the subject but you beat me to it heh...

i think blahblahblah or blabberblabberblabberblabber might do better for the general audience as lorem ipsum is more familiar in the design and advertising circles only. and you might make people think he really is speaking spanish or something.

yeah perhaps the "blah blah" text will be more widely understood. How's this? reformatted for 6.625 x 10.187" size.
